Squire Shopify Integration – Merchant Guide

Overview
Squire connects to your Shopify store to let your CX Squire chase orders, issue refunds, and resolve customer tickets. This short guide explains how to install the app, keep the connection healthy, and control your data.
1. Installation checklist
Open the invitation link from Squire (unlisted App Store listing).
Review the access scopes:
Orders (read/write)
Customers (read)
Products (read)
Discounts / Price rules (write)
Click Install app. You will be redirected to
app.get-squire.comto finish onboarding.Inside Squire, complete the “Required Integrations” step:
Shopify (the store you just authorized)
Gmail (used for replying to customers)
Need to switch stores? Disconnect the current store in Squire, then repeat the install with the new Shopify login. Only one store can be connected per Squire agent at a time.
2. Shopify embedded home
You can monitor the connection from the Shopify admin:
Go to Apps → Squire.
The embedded page shows:
Shopify status (Connected / Not connected)
Quick links back to the Squire dashboard
Use Open Squire Home or Manage Integrations to jump straight into the full app.
3. Reconnect or change data retention
If you disconnect Shopify (for example, to rotate API scopes) you’ll see a banner inside Squire and in the embedded page:
Option | What it does |

Keep data for 30 days (default) | Gives you a 30-day window to reconnect the same store without losing conversation history or automations. |
Delete data now | Immediately removes Shopify-derived order data, customer context, and damage-claim attachments from Squire. |
Reconnect anytime by visiting Squire → Settings → Integrations and clicking Connect Shopify. You’ll be taken through the OAuth flow again.
4. GDPR / data deletion requests
Shopify automatically sends Squire the
customers/data_request,customers/redact, andshop/redactwebhooks.Squire honors these requests within 30 days (usually much sooner) and confirms completion via email.
If you click Delete data now, the process runs immediately—no need to wait for Shopify’s webhook.
For manual audits, email support@get-squire.com with the store domain and request type.
5. Troubleshooting
Issue | Fix |

“Shopify data pending deletion” banner | Click Reconnect within 30 days or choose Delete now if you intend to sever the connection. |
Invalid installation link | The invite was generated for a different Shopify store. Request a fresh link for your domain. |
