This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our customer support automation platform and related services (the “Service”). By using Squire, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

When you sign up for Squire or use our Service, we may ask for personal information such as your:

If you connect a Gmail account to Squire, we act as your processor (or service provider) for data accessed from your Google account via the Gmail API. We access and use this data only to provide the features you enable, such as ingesting customer emails, classifying/triaging messages, drafting and sending replies, and organizing messages (for example, by applying labels or archiving).
Data we access may include:
- Gmail account email address (e.g., via Gmail profile information)
- Email metadata and headers (such as sender/recipient addresses, subject, dates, message and thread IDs, and label IDs)
- Email content (message bodies and snippets)
- Attachments (such as filenames, MIME types, and attachment content). If you enable workflows that require it (e.g., damage claims), we may download and store image attachments to process the request and maintain ticket history.
Actions we may take in your Gmail account (depending on your configuration) include:
- Reading messages and threads to process inbound customer emails
- Applying or removing labels, marking messages as read, and removing the INBOX label (archiving)
- Sending emails and replies from your Gmail account on your behalf
We do not sell Gmail/Google user data. We may share Gmail/Google user data with our service providers (subprocessors) only as needed to operate and provide the Service (for example, cloud hosting, monitoring, and AI providers used to generate classifications or draft replies).
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect Gmail within Squire at any time, and you can also revoke Squire’s access via your Google account settings. After access is revoked, Squire will no longer be able to access new data from your Gmail account.
If you connect a Shopify store to Squire, we act as your processor (or service provider) for the following data classes:
- Order meta-data (order numbers, line items, fulfillment status, financial status, tracking URLs)
- Customer identifiers (name, email, shipping address, phone)
- Discount and price rule details created by Squire on your behalf
- Store policies or content that you sync into Squire
We collect and use this data only to deliver core features such as WISMO automations, damage-claim workflows, and customer messaging. We never sell or share Shopify data with third parties outside the subprocessors listed in this policy. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. When you disconnect Shopify we retain data for up to 30 days to support reconnection, unless you instruct us to delete it immediately. Shopify’s GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) are honored within 30 days and usually much sooner. To request manual deletion or export, email support@get-squire.com with your store domain.
We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide you with our Service or comply with legal obligations. When your data is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize it securely.
You can request deletion of the personal data associated with your Squire account at any time.
- Send an email to support@get-squire.com with the subject line “Squire Data Deletion Request.” Include the email address tied to your account, the business name (if applicable), and a brief confirmation that you want all Squire data removed.
- We will verify the request by replying to that email address (or, if you no longer have access, by asking for a signed letter on company letterhead).
- Once verified, we initiate deletion of personal data including account profile details, conversation history, stored integrations (including OAuth tokens), and any stored message content/metadata/attachments ingested from connected accounts (such as Gmail) within 30 days, unless we must retain specific records to meet legal obligations (e.g., billing or security logs). Those items are deleted as soon as retention rules allow.
- When deletion is completed, we’ll send you a confirmation email. If you need records sooner for compliance reasons, note that in your initial request and we’ll coordinate an expedited export before deletion.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the updated version will include the effective date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
